Diving General

Best Diving Season:

There is no bad season at Lanzarote. With a constant air temperature round the 21 to 29°C.

The water temperature in summer is round 23°C and winter round 18°C.

Type of diving:

Boat dives: most of them 5 min or 15 min sailing.

Shore dives: from the dive-centre you can walk to the beach for a shore dive.

 Minibus: Most of them 5 to 10 min drive.

 Excursions: Normally full day trips for example to Mala or Playa Blanca with or without the Underwater Museum.

Highlights:

Playa Grande: In front of the dive-centre where we can reach shallow and deeper dive-sites with over-hangs and swim thru’s.

Playa Chica: There are several dives you can make from this spot.

With overhangs, drop offs, reefs.

Underwater Museum: Underwater sculpture garden made by Jason deCaires Taylor.

Wrecks: There are several wrecks around Lanzarote which are inhabited by many sea life.

Marine life:

Grouper, ray species, angelshark, seahorse, nudibranch, coral, damselfish, barracuda, moray eel, sponges.

Pelagic:

When lucky: Dolphin, whale, shark, manta ray, mobula ray, whale shark.

Around 20 dive sites

Diving from the beach is possible.

Diving equipment recommended or compulsory

Dive computer, surface balloon & snorkel for each diver are compulsory by Spanish law. Can be rented at the diving centre.

Medical statement compulsory?

No, When everything is NO on the medical statement a Medical Stament of a doctor is not mandatory. Possibility to consult a doctor.
