If you would like to further develop your skills and learn more specific skills, there are a number of PADI specialties that you can follow at Euro-Divers Lanzarote.

 Peak Performance Buoyancy Specialty (Floatability Skills)

Perfect buoyancy control is what sets experienced divers apart from other divers. You’ve undoubtedly seen them underwater. They float by effortlessly, use less air and rise, fall or float as if they don’t have to think about it. They observe marine life with easily without disturbing the underwater environment. You can reach this level too. The PADI Peak Performance Buoyancy Specialty course enhances the buoyancy skills learned as a new diver and takes them to the next level.

The course includes 2 open water dives.

Participation requirements

  • minimum age of 10 years.
  • in possession of a (junior) Open Water Diver certificate or comparable from another organization

Underwater Navigator Diver (Underwater Navigation)
Be the diver everyone follows because you know where you are and where you are going. The PADI Underwater Navigator course sharpens your observation skills and teaches you to use your compass even more accurately underwater. If you like challenges that really benefit you, take this course and enjoy the ability to always find your way.

The course consists of 3 open water dives.

Participation requirements

  • minimum age of 10 years.
  • in possession of a (junior) Open Water Diver certificate or comparable from another organization

Deep Diver (Deep)
The seduction of the deep. There is something thrilling, exciting and mysterious about exploring deep dive sites. Sometimes it is a wreck at a depth of more than 18 meters that attracts you, or a very large fan coral or anemone on the deeper parts of a reef wall. Whatever it is, if you want to dive to depths of up to 40 meters with confidence, then you should take the PADI Deep Diver Specialty course. You will learn to develop skills, knowledge and techniques that are important to safely participate in deep dives.

The course consists of 4 open water dives, which are given over several days.

  • minimum age of 15 years.
  • in possession of an Adventure Diver or Advanced Open Water Diver certification or comparable from another organization

Night Diver (Night Diving)
The mere thought of disappearing beneath the surface of the water at night sounds mysterious but also attractive. Although you may have made many dives at a particular dive site, a whole new world awaits you when you go there at night and shine a light on the marine life with your dive light. The scene changes as the animals you see during the day retreat and make way for nightlife. If you’re wondering what happens underwater once the sun sets, sign up for the PADI Night Diver Specialty course. Many divers experience night diving as exciting and therefore one of the most enjoyable aspects of diving.

The course consists of 3 open water dives, spread over several days.

Wreck Diver (Wreck)
Wrecks provide a fascinating glimpse into the past, whether they were deliberately sunk to provide an artificial reef for divers, or sank for other reasons. Ships, planes and even cars are particularly interesting to explore, and they are usually teeming with marine life. Every wreck dive offers the opportunity to discover things, unravel a possible mystery or get a closer look at something that has been overlooked by others. The PADI Wreck Diver Specialty course is popular for its thorough training in responsible wreck diving, that is amply rewarded with great wreck diving adventures. In this course you will learn, among other things: skills such as navigation on a wreck, dealing with lines, entering a wreck, other ways of moving (fin technique) etc.

Enriched Air – Nitrox
The PADI Nitrox course is one of PADI’s most popular diving courses. Diving with enriched air gives you more (bottom) time. Ideally, especially during your holiday, when you make several dives a day. That means you have more time underwater. You can stay underwater longer (at a certain depth) and get back into the water sooner. No wonder, that many divers do this specialty.
During the course the emphasis is on theory: you will learn why you get a longer bottom time when you dive with air with a higher oxygen percentage and less nitrogen. Some points of interest regarding enriched air equipment are also discussed. The decompression theory is also discussed in detail. Furthermore, topics such as the advantages and disadvantages of nitrox, how to deal with mixed gases, analyzing the gas and planning a dive with different gases.

Boat Diver (Boat)
Many of the best diving sites in the world can only be reached by diving from a boat. Whether you’ve never done a boat dive or have logged dozens, almost every diver will benefit from a PADI Boat Diver Specialty course because things are done differently on different dive boats in different parts of the world. Diving from a diving boat is fun and relatively easy because the boat usually takes you directly to your dive site.
During 2 open water dives from a boat, attention is paid to: the planning, organization, procedures, techniques, problems and dangers of boat diving. Proper boat diving materials, storage of personal materials, behavior and boat cleaning considerations, and general boat terminology. Specific techniques for entering the water from a boat and getting back on board. Local laws and regulations for boat diving. Overview of the emergency/safety equipment required on board.

The course consists of 2 open water dives, given in one day.

Drift Diver (Current)
The PADI Drift Diver Specialty course teaches you how to enjoy currents by simply drifting along during your dive in a river or sea when there is a current. It feels like flying – except you’re using diving equipment underwater. Drift diving can be very relaxing and very exciting at the same time. If this sounds like fun, then the Drift Diver course is definitely for you.
On Lanzarote there are many beautiful diving spots in flowing water, where you can make beautiful dives, if you know how to assess the conditions and deal with them. Issues such as current strength, change, neap tide and spring tide, visibility, planning and organizing a current dive are discussed.
The course consists of 2 open water dives.
